LONG travelling day!

Hi all! We got up early yesterday to make our way to Florence. We knew it would be a long day, but we were not prepared for just how long. We got to the bus stop in the morning with our bags and, unfortunately, since it was a Sunday the busses were not running as often. So we waited and waited and waited. Finally, after about an hour and a half of waiting, it came. People absolutely run to get onto these things. They were cramming in everywhere. We have to get our bags on under the bus first so it takes us a while. We literally were the last two people to be able to squeeze on the front of the bus. We had to stand the whole time with almost nothing to hold on to as the driver sped around the hairpin turns. It was nuts. My arms are still sore from trying to brace myself. We finally made it to Sorrento, took the Circumsuviana metro-thing to Naples (which we broke up by stopping at Pompeii the first time so it seemed extra long). In Naples, we got some McDonalds. I broke down and had to have it. I enjoyed every bit of my Big Mac and BOTH of the orders of fries he gave me :). We got in to Florence around 5:30 or so and had to try at least 4 different hostels before we got into one. E-X-H-A-U-S-T-I-N-G!!! Seriously, exhausting. We came to the room and just read for a little bit, then went to dinner (which was fantastic) and came back to the hostel. We were using the internet in the lobby and SURPRISE!! My two friends from Positano ended up in the same hostel as us!! YIPEE! I was sooooo excited to see them!! They had had even a worse day than we did (they got stuck with one person on a train and one not - MY BIGGEST TRAIN FEAR). We made plans to go to Pisa the next day together so that'll be fun!
